Frequently Asked Questions
When can I begin physical therapy post-surgery?
Physical therapy should begin two or three days after your surgery date. Please make an appointment prior to surgery. We offer physical therapy at either of our two Manhattan locations.
Do you accept walk-ins?
We have same day appointments available every day. Please call or email us before walking in so that we can best accommodate your needs.
Will my insurance pay for everything?
These days insurance coverage can be very complicated and nearly everyone has some patient cost. Our staff is here to help. We can check your benefits and help you figure out a payment plan.
Can you waive my copay or deductible?
Unfortunately, we are prohibited from waiving copays or deductibles. However, we can work out a payment plan if necessary.
What insurance plans do you accept?
How long will the visit take?
Initial visits may take up to 45 to 60 minutes (depending on the severity of the problem) so that your specialist can fully assess your condition. You can download our forms and fill them out in advance to speed up the process.
Is there a long wait at the office?
Sometimes the doctor may be delayed because of a serious issue. Most often that is not the case. You are welcome to call in advance and if the doctor is delayed we will let you know.
Do you see children?
The youngest age that our Sports Medicine doctors treat is 12 years old.
What are the office hours?
Our general doctor hours are 8:30 AM to 5 PM but that may vary per doctor and day. Our staff will provide you with each individual doctor’s hours and help find a specialist that will accommodate your schedule. Our physical therapy department is open 7 AM to 8 PM on Monday through Thursday, 7AM to 7PM on Friday, and 8 AM to 3 PM on Saturday.
